Tuesday, April 1st, and Thursday, April 3rd started like any regular evenings. But by the time the second tray of pizza hit the table, it was clear these nights weren’t going to stay ordinary.
From 5:30 to 7 PM, at Mamma Mia in Sallanches, we opened our doors for a free pizza tasting—just for the local négociants. The idea was simple: meet the community, share what we do, and bring everyone around the table. No agenda. No expectations. Just good people, good food, and a space to enjoy both.
We set a few long tables, fired up the oven early, opened a few bottles—and let things happen naturally.

The Best Kind of Energy
People came in waves—some after closing shop, others with kids still in tow, a few friends from the village, and some we met for the first time that night. The mix couldn’t have been better.
We kept the pizzas coming: Margherita, spicy salami, truffle, eggplant—one after the other. There were drinks going around, glasses clinking, and by halfway through the night, someone had started ranking pizzas out loud, sparking a mini debate that lasted longer than expected. The eggplant surprisingly held its ground.
It didn’t feel like a tasting. It felt like a real gathering, the kind where conversations skip small talk and laughter rolls through the room like background music.
A Reminder of Why We Do This
We created Mamma Mia to be more than a pizzeria. We wanted it to feel like home for people who hadn’t even stepped in yet.
This week reminded us why that matters.
It wasn’t about flawless service or presentation—it was about the energy in the room, the warmth, the way people stayed long after their last bite, just talking.
Until Next Time
To everyone who came—thank you for bringing the night to life.
And if you missed it, don’t worry—we’re already thinking about the next one.
We’ll keep the oven hot, the drinks cold, and the welcome wide open.
You bring the stories.
We’ll keep bringing the pizza. 🍕
