A Little Bottle of Calm

There’s a small bottle by the mirror at Magic Forte. Golden, kind of plain. You might not notice it right away — except for the scent. That’s what gets you. The first time I opened it, I thought: What is that? It wasn’t perfume-y, not floral. More like thyme, citrus, something herbal, sun-warmed, and familiar in a way you can’t quite place.

Turns out it was from KOS PARIS. And no, it wasn’t placed there for show.

We’ve started using their botanical oils here — not as some branded moment, but because they fit. Into how we move, how we rest, how we live here. There’s no shelf talker, no spotlight. Just a little bottle. Waiting.

I’ve seen people pause and ask about the smell mid-sentence. I’ve watched friends use a drop after the sauna and lean back into the couch like it’s their first deep breath of the day. My sister uses it after swimming.

It doesn’t feel like skincare, it feels like a pause button.

Why We Chose KOS

KOS is based in Paris, and they make everything in their lab there. Small-batch, simple, rooted in plants. They don’t make a big deal of it, which I like — but the quality is insane. Their ingredients come from all over: prickly pear seed oil, babassu butter, kukui oil, acai. They source through fair trade, they work with organic growers, they avoid all the usual junk (no silicones, no mineral oils, no fillers). Most formulas are 98% natural, and they put a ton of care into how things are made — even the packaging is mostly glass and fully recyclable.

Basically: they’re doing things the right way, quietly.

Why the Partnership Matters

There are a lot of brands out there. We chose KOS not because it’s loud or recognizable, but because it matches what this space is about.

KOS makes sense for us because they’re doing things with intention. They work quietly but thoroughly, and everything they make is rooted in care — for the body, the environment, the people growing the plants. That kind of alignment matters. It’s not just a brand we like — it’s a way of working that mirrors our own. Slow, present, detail-focused.
